Were there any female samurai warriors?

Women played interesting roles as rulers and fighters in ancient and medieval Japan. Young girls were trained to repress their feelings, to indurate their nerves, to manipulate weapons. Tomoe Gozen was one of the most appricitated womanthat there was. Nitobe thought however, that women shouldn't be samurai's. He didn't think you could be a warrior and feminine at the same time. Which is completely wrong.

I think that females could be warriors. I disagree with what Nitobe said. Girls can handle the pain and fight just as well or even better than guys. Girls can do whatever a guy can do. And being a samurai is one of the things.
